About This Sangha

The Washington Mindfulness Community, formed in 1989, is a Buddhist community of lay practitioners inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh. We meet weekly (online during the pandemic) for sitting/walking meditation, listening to talks by Thay, Dharma sharing, recitation and observation of the Five Mindfulness Trainings, guest talks by dharma teachers in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hahn, and other related mindfulness practices.
