About This Sangha

Blooming Lilac Sangha is one of hundreds of communities worldwide that practices mindfulness as taught by Vietnamese Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh. We welcome newcomers. If you are new to the practice, we have an orientation session on the 1st Sunday of the month. It is held at 3:00 pm if people RSVP. We offer meditation 4 times a week plus days of mindfulness. We practice sitting and walking meditation; talks by Thich Nhat Hanh, Dharma Sharing, recitation of the 5 Mindfulness Trainings; and other practices like Flower Watering; Beginning Anew; Gatha practice, Mindful Eating, etc.

When We Meet

  • Tuesdays and Thursday mornings at 7:15 am; Sundays at 4:00 pm. Most Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm. Day of Mindfulness once a month, usually on a Saturday or Sunday; 1 or 2 retreats a year with Dharma teacher ordained by Thich Nhat Hanh
